Artist's Reflection

One thing Swedenborg hasn't beent very specific about is how to achieve Heaven within.

From my perspective;

Heaven and Hell are created in our minds.
We are what we focus on.
And what we think about is our own personal choice.

Unfortunately, many let their lives be run by their mind and choose to live in Hell rather than in the present moment. And most often this is because they don't know they have a choice, and if they did, how to stop the clutter? Think about this quote from Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now): "All guilt, regret, resentment, sadness, bitterness and all forms of non-forgiveness are caused by too much past and not enough presence. All forms of fear is caused by too much future and not enough presence." We already lived through the past once so there's really now need to do it more times. And the future will never turn out exactly as we dream it. It is how we prepare ourselves now in the presence that will determine the outcome of the future.

Forgive, forget, accept are keys here.

But how can we still the clutter of mind and find the peace of Heaven within?

To take the time each day to give yourself a break - many times each day - to centering, giving full attention to that which is within, to the breath. To sit still with closed eyes and an open mind taking many deep breaths in - stomach first, then lower chest left and right, then upper chest and holding the breath alive at the top for a moment before letting it all out. There is great relief in that simple task. Finding the oneness with the breath, with the sounds of nature and environment, to feel the spaciousness within and without... That's an important key. And this can be obtained through meditation. Any time you find it hard to get in touch with your inner body, with Heaven within, let your breathing take you there.

Another helpful tool in finding peace and Heaven within is to start by following Jesus' path - to live in love rather than in hatred and fear.

This works for me - although well knowing that every individual must find their own path out of Hell and into peace and Heaven within.
