Swedenborgian ministers are the real deal: sincerely authentic—in a sort of "what you see is what you get" kind of way. Rev. Jennifer Tafel is no exception. A bonus is that she is approachable, immediately engaging, lively, cheerful, energetic, enthusiastic, and serious about her work, and an innovative-thinking minister.
Rev. Jennifer is a pastor who knows the power of prayer and community. She will listen to your concerns in a seriously helpful way. If you have a problem she would be a safe one to tell. Rev. Jennifer is a healer and a deeply creative, intelligent, determined individual; and thankfully in today's world is able to think outside the box on just about anything—Church, problem solving, finding purpose in work or recreation.

Metaphysical Healing Info:
I have been involved in alternative healing and contact with the spiritual world for twenty years, but really have had experience with the spiritual world my whole life. As a child I experienced the spiritual world but did not have the language to articulate what I was experiencing. I had visions and felt the presence of spirits around me and my initial reaction was fear because I could not explain what happened. After the journey of personal healing I no longer fear the presence of the spiritual world with me--as I have found it to be a blessing and a gift.
My "official" introduction into this world was through attending "Whole Life Expos" and learning how to read chakras in my early adulthood. Attending the expos was eye-opening. I was not alone. I learned more about myself and my gifts by learning about other people with the same gifts. I learned that I had "natural talent" when attending classes on learning how to read chakras and other forms of healing.
I answered the call to ministry in the church I grew up in: The Swedenborgian Church of North America. I was recently ordained an am serving a church in Lansing. The theology of this church is based on the understanding that the spiritual world is present with us. The angels are always working on our behalf. They continually guide us toward making choices of a heavenly life while on earth.
I choose to share my gifts of healing, connection with the angels and art because this is how I envision heaven on earth: helping others.
